TransDigm is a highly specialised maker of aircraft components, focused on proprietary parts for which it is often the sole supplier. Much of its revenue comes from the lucrative aftermarket, selling replacement parts over the decades-long life of an aircraft, which gives it exceptional margins and pricing power that few industrial companies can match.
