As a Media Informatics engineer with a long-standing passion for dividend stocks, I combine technical expertise with financial analysis. I registered the domain dividenden-kalender.de back in 2011 – with the goal of providing investors with a clear and reliable overview of dividend dates and quality.
From intensive engagement with dividend companies came the idea for the DiviScore: a compact metric that summarizes the quality and reliability of a dividend stock. The DiviScore is designed for investors who don’t want to dig through financial statements but still want to separate the wheat from the chaff – simply, transparently, and understandably.
Our methodology & expertise
DiviScore
The DiviScore is our proprietary rating system for dividend stocks. It is based on an additive 4-pillar model: Performance (35%), Dividend Quality (35%), Fundamentals (15%), and Stability (15%). The calculation uses a 10-year investment simulation with automatic dividend reinvestment and evaluates the actual total return on a scale of 0 to 100 points.
Investment philosophy
We believe in long-term, data-driven investing. Dividend stocks offer one of the most reliable paths to building wealth through regular distributions and the compounding effect of reinvestment. Our goal is to provide investors with transparent, independent, and well-founded information for their investment decisions.
Transparency about data sources
We source price data from Twelve Data (global stock exchange closing prices). Dividend data comes from official company publications. For Austrian and Italian stocks (ATX, FTSE MIB), we additionally use Yahoo Finance as a data source. All data is updated daily and checked for plausibility.
