About Alphabet Inc. (Class C)
Alphabet is the parent of Google, spanning internet search, digital advertising, the Android platform, YouTube and Google Cloud, and it is one of the most influential players in artificial intelligence through its Gemini models. The Class C shares are economically identical to the Class A but carry no voting rights, which is why they usually trade at a slight discount. Alphabet began paying a dividend in 2024, combining a small quarterly distribution with substantial share buybacks after years of returning cash purely through repurchases. Both share classes receive the same payout, and it is still tiny relative to the company's earnings. This is fundamentally a growth holding with a token, newly established dividend, and its mid-range DiviScore reflects that limited income character.
