Charter Communications

Charter Communications is one of the largest cable operators in the United States, delivering broadband internet, video and mobile service under the Spectrum brand to tens of millions of homes and businesses. Its network reaches a vast footprint, and mobile has become a growth lever as traditional pay-TV subscriptions decline. Charter pays no dividend, having long directed its substantial cash flow toward network investment, debt service and aggressive share buybacks. It is therefore a leveraged, capital-return story built on repurchases rather than dividends, and the low score reflects the absence of any payout alongside heavy debt and intensifying competition from fiber and wireless providers.
